Northeast Asian Studies College Admitted as a Council Member of the World Political Parties Think Tank Cooperation Alliance

    On June 5, 2024, the first Council Meeting of the “World Political Parties Think Tank Cooperation Alliance,” initiated by the International Department of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC), was held in Beijing. The Northeast Asian Studies College of Jilin University was admitted as a council member of the Alliance. Chen Zhou, Vice Minister of the IDCPC, served as President of the Council. Jin Xin, Director of the Research Office of the IDCPC, introduced the relevant information about the World Political Parties Think Tank Cooperation Alliance at the meeting.

On June 6, 2024, the Inaugural Conference of the World Political Parties Think Tank Cooperation Alliance and the Academic Symposium on World Political Party Politics were held in Beijing. The symposium, themed “World Political Party Politics under a Century of Transformation,”featured in-depth discussions on topics including good governance and political party responsibility, as well as new trends in the development of world political party politics. Chen Zhou, Vice Minister of the IDCPC, delivered the keynote speech. More than 180 participants attended the event, including think tank scholars from political parties in over 40 countries such as Tanzania, South Africa, Bangladesh, Mongolia, Chile, the United Kingdom, and France, along with theoretical cadres of communist parties and representatives from Chinese universities and think tanks.
