On April 18, 2024, marking the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Russia, the "China-Russia Young Scholars Forum on the 75th Anniversary of China-Russia Diplomatic Relations and the Future Development of Bilateral Relations Under the New Environment" was held at Jilin University. It was hosted by the Institute for Northeast China and Northeast Asian Studies of Jilin University, the Northeast Asian Research Center, the Northeast Asian Studies College, and the Institute of China and Contemporary Asia of the Russian Academy of Sciences, with support from the Editorial Department of Northeast Asia Forum.

Well-known domestic media including People's Daily, Xinhua News Agency, CCTV News and Chinese Social Sciences Today, as well as the official website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, all covered the event and widely spreading the forum's content.
