On November 30, 2024, the "2024 Forum on New Think Tank Governance ", co-hosted by Nanjing University and Lanzhou University, was held in Lanzhou. With the theme of "Think Tanks Boosting the Modernization of China's Governance System and Governance Capacity", the forum gathered more than 600 representatives from the national think tank community from across China in Lanzhou.

At the forum's session for releasing annual best cases and outstanding achievements, the results of the CTTI 2024 Annual Collection and Promotion for the Best Think Tank Cases and Outstanding Achievements were announced. The think tank construction case of the Northeast Asian Research Center of Jilin University, Deepening Northeast Asian Area and Country Studies and Platform Building Under the Guidance of Xi Jinping Thought on Diplomacy, was selected as the CTTI Think Tank Construction’s Best Case (Model Case). The think tank achievements of Professor Xu Bo and Professor Wang Xiaoke from Northeast Asian Research Center of Jilin University respectively won the second prize of CTTI Think Tank’s Outstanding Achievement Award  in 2024.
